We developed (and have been using) two units in a university course for pre-service secondary mathematics teachers. The units (one on Parabolas and one on Proportional Reasoning) deepen pre-service teachers specialized mathematics content knowledge and their pedagogical content knowledge about student reasoning. Each lesson includes several Project Mathtalk videos of students engaged in mathematical reasoning.
Each unit comes with 6 lessons. Each lesson is guided by a PowerPoint presentation. Additionally, there are class activity sheets that can be downloaded for small group discussion, and homework problems.
